Human Rights Education

CIL-Kathmandu provides information on human rights to persons with disabilities, human rights activists and government officials at national and district levels. With an objective to increase the knowledge and understanding of human rights for persons with disabilities, the human rights education program is designed as a 3-day interactive orientation program. During the program, various collaborative sessions are delivered on subjects such as Universal Declaration of Human Rights, International Convention of Civil and Political Rights, Convention of the Rights of the Child, the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women, Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, Nepalese legal frameworks on disability and the concept of Independent Living.
